HarborOne Bank to host “Shark Tank” competition for area entrepreneurs
HarborOne Bank announced today it will host the fourth annual small business “Pitch Contest,” Southeastern Massachusetts’ own version of “Shark Tank,” next month. In coordination with Small Business Week the on-line Application opens May 1, 2019 and the deadline to apply is May 31, 2019.
On June 12, eight entrepreneurs will audition to pitch their potential business plans to three judges, competing for a $10,000 investment to help grow and develop a business in a format modeled after the ABC reality television show “Shark Tank.”
Nancy Lowd, Senior Business Advisor with the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center Network (MSBDC) will share the
5 Myths of Owning Your Own Business.

The small business pitch contest is designed to provide an opportunity for area entrepreneurs to present their business plans and ideas in a constructive, fun and friendly forum. Each applicant will have five minutes to present a business plan and growth strategy. Participants will be judged on presentation, marketing and sales strategy and overall business management.
