HarborOne Bank Names Michelle R. Saunders Vice President, Talent Management

(Brockton, MA) – May 20, 2021 – HarborOne Bank announced today it has named Michelle R. Saunders as Vice President, Talent Management. In this role, Saunders is responsible for building on the bank’s already strong Talent Management team with a continued emphasis on diversity, equity and inclusion. Saunders will be responsible for designing strategy and processes for talent acquisition, talent review, succession planning, performance management, diversity, equity and inclusion, learning and development and engagement.

Saunders began her career in banking and comes to HarborOne Bank with 15 years of experience in Talent Management. Prior to joining HarborOne, Saunders held a number of positions at International Gaming Technology (IGT). In her most recent position as Head of Talent and Inclusion, Global Gaming at IGT, Saunders led a 10-person team responsible for talent management, learning and talent development, talent acquisition and diversity and inclusion for the Gaming Business Unit. She was pivotal in developing a strategy for a newly virtual organization.
Saunders received her BS in Marketing from Johnson and Wales University and her MA in Education from University of Rhode Island. She also received a certificate in Fostering Diversity and Inclusion from Yale University. Saunders currently serves on the University of Rhode Island Women’s Leadership Council and was recently the Board Chair of YouthPride of RI and is an active supporter of Year Up and serves on the RI Leadership Council.
