HarborOne Bank to Host Two Small Business Pitch Contests for Area Entrepreneurs in MA and RI

(Brockton, MA) – July 9, 2021 – HarborOne Bank announced today it will host Small Business “Pitch Contests,” the bank’s own friendly business competition in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
The sixth annual Small Business Pitch Contest in Massachusetts will take place on Thursday, September 30 at HarborOne U in Mansfield, MA. The first ever Rhode Island Small Business Pitch Contest will take place on Tuesday, September 28 at HarborOne Bank’s Providence location. Applications opened Thursday, July 1 and the deadline to apply is Tuesday, August 31.

On September 28 and 30, ten entrepreneurs at each pitch contest will audition to present their potential business plans to three expert judges, competing for a $10,000 investment to help launch, grow or develop a business. The HarborOne small business pitch contest is designed to provide an opportunity for area entrepreneurs to present their business plans and ideas in a constructive and friendly forum. Each finalist will have five minutes to present a business plan and growth strategy. Participants will be judged on business potential, presentation, marketing and sales strategy and overall business management.
