HarborOne Bank’s Harvest for Hunger Program Donates Over $25,000 to Local Food Programs and Pantries

(Brockton, MA) – November 17, 2020 – HarborOne Bank announced today it will donate more than $25,000 to local food programs and pantries as part of their Harvest for Hunger, the sixth year the bank has contributed money to non-profits through the program.

Harvest for Hunger raises awareness, provides financial support and generates non-perishable food donations for community-based organizations addressing the issue of food insecurity. Since its inception, Harvest for Hunger has invested over $125,000, collected 32,000 non-perishable food items and provided hundreds of volunteer hours in support of food programs and pantries serving its local neighborhoods.

“Food insecurity is on the rise across the region and it has never been more important for all of us to step forward and donate food and funds to help those in our local communities, many of them among our most vulnerable,” said Jim Blake, HarborOne Bank CEO. “As the economic challenges of COVID-19 continue to impact families, we admire the steadfast commitment from our local non-profit partner organizations and are incredibly proud to support them.”
